2012, Year of the Progressive in Northern Illinois?

PDA in Illinois

Progressives in Northern Illinois will benefit in 2012 from two events.  First, redistricting has split the old Republican 16th district into three parts and has put each part in a new district with a higher percentage of Democrats.

Second, right-wing politicians have alienated the middle class giving us the opportunity to throw them out, elect our candidates and expand the progressive base that advocates for our values and issues!

Let’s take advantage of these opportunities!

You’re Invited.  Progressive Democrats of America-Illinois will host a meeting with supporters in the Rockford area to discuss forming a PDA chapter for Northern Illinois. At that meeting we will discuss:

1) supporting or running progressive candidates in the area,
2) building/expanding a permanent progressive base in the old 16th CD,
3) the benefits of a PDA chapter.
Your ideas are crucial!
