Victory! Obama rejects permit for Keystone XL pipeline.

Action Alert

Victory! Obama rejects permit for Keystone XL pipeline.

But Big Oil and their allies in Congress are already plotting their revenge…

Send a note of thanks to the President for rejecting the Keystone XL pipeline, and let him know he has your support in the firestorm that is sure to come.

Over the past year, hundreds of thousands of activists like you have raised their voices with one strong, clear message: the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline is dangerous, and we do NOT want it.

The president heard you – and listened. Yesterday, standing strong against the bullying tactics of Big Oil and their allies in Congress, the Obama administration denied the permit for the Keystone XL, stopping the pipeline in its tracks.

This isn’t just the right call – it’s the brave call.

Please thank President Obama right now for standing up to Big Oil and rejecting the Keystone XL pipeline.

The pipeline, which would have transported dirty and dangerous tar sands oil across 1,700 miles of America’s heartland, would have threatened vital water sources, endangered ecosystems, and increased toxic pollution along its route.

While the rejection of the permit is a big win for our environment, this is not the end of our fight. Big Oil has threatened ‘huge political consequences’ if the pipeline is not approved and Republican leaders have already begun planning their attack against the President with wildly exaggerated claims that the pipeline’s rejection would kill thousands of American jobs.

We know Big Oil and their allies in Congress won’t give up easily. We need to let the President know that we will stand with him and make it clear that tar sands pipelines are not in our national interest.

Please take a moment to send a letter to the President applauding his decision to reject the dirty Keystone XL Pipeline and stand up against Big Oil and their allies.

And feel free to share this great news!

Thank you again for all that you do – this victory would not have been possible without your help.
